Learn to construct a bracelet of sterling silver blanks using the following techniques: texturing, stamping, metal piercing, dapping and oxidizing metal to bring out the texture. Then embellish using wire wrapping techniques with gemstones and chain.

Flora Florette
Intermediate Level Project
Basic knowledge of peyote stitch required.

A playful bouquet of flowers, wrapped around your wrist. A whimsical twist on wrist-corsages of days gone by, peyote stitch surrounds a wire core, allowing for flexibility and “floral arranging”. The flowers, which are handmade glass beads, are attached to beaded leaves and sit at each end of the wire, so that when the bracelet wraps around the wrist, they become a little bouquet of color and pattern.

Silver Framed Gems

Use fine silver bezel wire in an innovative way. Frame your favorite gems and beads in silver that can be personalized or left plain for a polished look. We will also cover texturing, stamping and oxidizing.

Enchanted Blossom Earrings

Riveted Rock Band ID Bracelet

Learn to work with flat wire by incorporating texturing, soldering and riveting. Also individualize with your favorite sayings and/or designs. Rivet on your favorite gemstone to glamorize your creation.

Say-So Ring

A beginning project with a LOT of pizzazz. This little ring is a perfect introduction to peyote stitch, but is so fun and playful that even advanced beaders will enjoy the results. It's easy and covers the fundamentals, but its result is a fun conversation piece to wear on your finger and say, "I made this!" Combining the handmade glass flower bead with a beaded band brings whimsy to a beginning project.

Herringbone Rings

Fused Chain

Make your own chain and components to add something new and unique to your jewelry. Learn the basics of fusing, which is a fun and simple technique that can be done at home safely and quickly. You will also learn how to set up a safe and productive workstation, Using Fine Silver wire, find out how to cut flush jump rings that will be fused to link rings to create a chain, then texture and shape your fused rings. Make a chain using fine silver wire w/o the use of solder or other chemicals.

She’s Stacked Mixed Media Bracelet

Twisted, Knotted 'n Fused Rings

Use Fine Silver wire and unite some basic skills like texturing, stamping, twisting, knotting and proper ring sizing. The objective in class will be to make rings but these same skills can also be useful in modifying rings into components.

Cirque du Sprout Earrings

Combine beadwork embellishment techniques with handmade glass/wire components for a WOWZA pair of earrings. The headpin is actually the focal piece, due to the playful glass shape that is attached to it. Beaded components are created then stacked upon this glass and wire headpin to create a circus of fun and color.
